Bradney's history of Monmouthshire was published in four volumes comprising 12 parts (1904⁠–1933). The work was republished in facsimile in nine volumes from 1991⁠–4. A final fifth volume was published posthumously in 1993.

This volume was originally the last part of volume 1.
