Medieval church dedicated to Deiniol, rebuilt in 1835.

Both Browne Willis and A.W. Wade-Evans agree on the dedication of the church to Deiniol, although the earliest evidence for the dedication comes from the place-name, which was first attested in the mid-sixteenth century. Browne Willis notes a feast day of 11 September, which is usually the date given for the patron of Bangor.
