Church of St Hilary

Diocese: Tyddewi/St Davids
OS Grid Ref.: SN54965718
Lat/Lng: 52.1937258965,-4.12337646283
Rebuilt medieval church dedicated to Hilary.
The modern dedication to Hilary is echoed by Browne Willis and Rice Rees in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and the same dedication is found on the early six-inch OS maps. However, A.W. Wade-Evans argued for an earlier dedication to Cyngar, based rather tenuously on the date of the feast day given by Samuel Lewis for Talsarn.More information
