Church now dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and Mary is attested as the patron in 1486 (ecclesia Beat' Marie). However, as a hospital dedicated to Mary Magdalene is attested in 1484, the church could also have been dedicated to Mary Magdalene. The hospital had its own chapel (the Maudlen Chapel) according to a sixteenth-century source.
