Medieval church demolished in 1859, when the nearby cemetery chapel was built. Browne Willis describes the church as 'Capell Deinio alias Pwllhelly'. The dedication has also been interpreted as Tyneio, from 'Eglwys Dyneio'. Its site is noted on the First edition 6" Ordnance Survey map.
