Church of St David
Llangeview, Monmouthshire
Diocese: Mynwy/Monmouth
OS Grid Ref.: SO39680070
Lat/Lng: 51.7017851011,-2.8742463681
Medieval church, now closed and in the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches. The dedication is to David, but has been given as Cyfyw, perhaps the Cynfyw who is included in the Bonedd y Saint as brother to Cadog. Richard Morgan notes that a twelfth-century reference to ecclesia sancti ciuiu, thought to refer to Llangeview, refers instead to a location near Bishton in the south of Monmouthshire. The dedication of the church at Llangeineiw is given as David by Browne Willis, and probably refers to this church.
