Medieval church restored in 1863⁠–4 by J.P. Seddon. Neither Browne Willis nor A.W. Wade-Evans offer a dedication for the church, and the early six-inch OS maps do not state a dedication. The church is currently dedicated to Peter, although the antiquity of the dedication is uncertain.
