Medieval church, now closed. The church was dedicated to Mary, and also formerly had a chantry chapel dedicated to the saint. However, the place-name of Tal-y-llyn has been known in the form Llanfihangel Tal-y-llyn since 1535 (Llanvihangell Talyllyn), suggesting a dedication to Michael from the sixteenth century.
