Place-name near Tretower of uncertain antiquity, attested in the early nineteenth century.

A lost chapel may have been found here, although the settlement is now only a farm, Llanddegman Fawr. As it is not clear whether there was once a church here, the origin of the place-name may not have any connection with the cult of Degfan or Decumanus.
