Church of St Eurgain and St Peter
Northop, Flintshire
Diocese: Llanelwy/St Asaph
OS Grid Ref.: SJ24646849
Lat/Lng: 53.2081120511,-3.12980383922
Medieval church whose dedication is shared between Peter and Eurgain, the latter being inferred from the Welsh place-name, Llaneurgain, a form of which is attested in 1254. Eurgain's feast day also coincides with that of Peter, on 29 June, which may have caused the connection/confusion between the two saints.
