Church of St Gwynhoedl
Llangwnnadl, Caernarfonshire
Diocese: Bangor/Bangor
OS Grid Ref.: SH20893324
Lat/Lng: 52.8667514446,-4.6623271427
Medieval church dedicated to Gwynhoedl.
Browne Willis listed a church at Nantgundanyll in his Thesaurus Rerum Ecclesiasticarum, and inferred that there was a church here dedicated to Deiniol (Daniel). It seems likely that this was an alternative form for Llangwnnadl, although a reference to a church at Nantgundanyll, dedicated to Deiniol, was repeated in Rice Rees' list of churches and dedications.More information
