Medieval church dedicated to Ust and Dyfrig.

Both Browne Willis and A.W. Wade-Evans agree on the dedication of the church to Gwrin or Wrin, although there is no known evidence for it prior to the eighteenth century, apart from the place-name evidence. It is found on the six-inch OS maps into the 1950s as St. Gwrin's Church.

The date and reason for the change to the present dedication is uncertain.
