Church of St David

Capel Dewi, Cardiganshire

Diocese: Tyddewi/St Davids

OS Grid Ref.: SN45194251
Lat/Lng: 52.0592802131,-4.25951653674

The church was built in 1835, apparently replacing one of a number of chapels that were in ruins, according to Samuel Lewis, only a couple of years earlier. Remodelled in 1886. The curvilinear churchyard is suggestive of an early site, although a further site in the hills about a mile to the north is marked as the site of a former Capel Dewi on the second edition six inch OS map.
