Ursula (Wrswla)

Two three-day annual fairs were granted by Edward II in 1309, marking the feasts of Peter and Paul and the Eleven Thousand Virgins, and this is likely to be connected with the dedication of the church to Peter and Paul. The dedication to Trinio appears to be solely on the basis of the place-name, although Gutun Owain's calendar gives his feast day as June 29, the principal feast day of St Peter and Paul. The first edition six-inch map marks the church as dedicated to Peter alone, although the second edition has Peter and Paul.
