Diocese: Llanelwy/St Asaph

OS Grid Ref.: SJ10658143
Lat/Lng: 53.322224655742,-3.3428540786773

Medieval church in Flintshire dedicated to Asaph.

According to an eighteenth century source, the church was also dedicated to Cyndeyrn, who now shares the dedication of the church. It was mentioned in the Domesday survey of 1087, and named as 'Ecc'a de Llanassa' in the Norwich Taxation (1254). It has been recently argued that Asaph and Asa should be regarded as different individuals.
