Elidan

Unidentified Saint, late fifteenth century, Church of St Mary, Beaumaris
Elidan is the patron of Llanelidan in Denbighshire, although our knowledge of the saint, even the gender, is uncertain. Some traditions suggest that Elidan was a military figure, perhaps even a king, although an Elidan that was associated with the cult of Curig or Quiricus was a nun at Llangurig. An Eledenius was listed as a bishop of Alclud (Strathclyde) by Geoffrey of Monmouth.
