A Welsh poem mentioning the nun Elidan is in the form of a prayer to Curig to restore the sight of the unknown poet, and another by Huw Cae Llywd. She is also mentioned in the Welsh Life of Curig.Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain was an influential mid-twelfth century history of the Britons and the foundation of much Arthurian romance.
